Here is a totally
arbitrary page of stuff I like...
Pentel P205 Mechanical
Pencils
I first ran into this awesome pencil at
Cal when I transferred into the engineering school (again)
and saw another student using one in a chem class:

I picked one up at the student store, and haven't purchased
a different pencil since. They have great weight and
balance, work reliably and last forever. I still have the
original three P205A's I bought in College, and I just got
a 12 pack of P205D's, same pencil but in green:

I
bought the 12 pack because I got sick of using pens at
work. My handwriting is too awful to use slippery,
uncorrectable pens to take notes with, so I'm going back to
old reliable.
1985 BJ60 Toyota
LandCruiser
This is my 1985 BJ60 Land Cruiser. The drive train is
originally from Canada, and a U.S. body has been swapped on
top of it, which is a great thing because Canadian cruisers
tend to be rotted out unless the owner was really
meticulous. The interior is pretty rough, but fixable.

This guy has the legendary 4 cylinder 3B
diesel engine in it, putting out a whopping 98 horsepower:

It’s a purely mechanical,
indirect-injection diesel engine with a dead-simple inline
fuel pump. Such a beautiful thing. This truck also has the
h55 5-speed manual transmission that Toyota offered in
other countries.
It’s pretty much the perfect 60. Lots of work to do, but
AC, power steering, a five speed and the 3B is tough to
beat....
1978 FJ40 Toyota
LandCruiser
Here’s my other cruiser:

It’s a ’78 40 series, with the standard 2F gasser:

And the h42 four speed manual transmission. I still love
this guy, and can’t sell him, but I drive the 60 most days.
The 60 gets nearly double the gas milage, and the AC, the
power steering, the fifth gear, and the ability to hear
myself think have all spoiled me. The 40 usually gets out
on Fridays and weekends.
Imakey

That's the LaCie Imakey 8 gig USB drive.
I keep copies of all my land cruiser manuals as well as
other documents and pictures on it. Amazing piece of
technology.
Utili-Key

This great little tool is the Swiss-Tech Utili-Key. It has
a knife edge, a serrated edge, a phillips screw driver, a
flat head screw driver, a mini-flat head screw driver for
glasses and a bottle opener, and is roughly the same size
as a large key to a vehicle. Nice.
Benchmade
Griptilian Folding Knife 551

I bought this knife a while back, and I absolutely love it.
Sharp as hell, small, light and bomb proof. Mel Pardue
design, which is pretty cool too.
